Q: Where in China do you guys live?

Philbravery saying he lives four hours outside Harbin got me thinking about where we all live (I only know two places in Heilongjiang, and four hours outside Harbin is a long way), so I am wondering where everyone lives, and why you chose that place.

I currently live outside Guangzhou and I am a teacher, but I am thinking of moving up North in the future because it is too sweaty down here, so where do you guys live and why?

As a certified and registered and licensed to drone CIA Field Agent who is really good at keeping Top Secrets I am not authorized by POTUS to disclose my current whereabouts.

In days gone by I lived in Hangzhou, GZ, SZ, Qingdao, JiaXing, and some 3rd world Hunan slum.

oooops, I meant ‘certifiable’

I too cannot disclose my current location. Trump and Putin would be upsetsad. I have lived in China for 10 years. a few years in Guangxi, Beihai. 5 years in cities through out Sichuan. 1 year in Shijiazhuang. and another year in Shandong, Tian. I am now in a 4th world slum (gotta beat the other guy) in Shaanxi (whoops, I wasn't supposed to say that. I'm not certified to be a spy.

It's really interesting to know! Whats the food like in Shaanxi? I have tried it a few times but I am not a fan.

Can I also ask why you have moved around so much? I have been down lived for a few years, but I am thinking of moving.

Yeah....  no way am I telling some random person online where I live.

Why? Because.

TheGardener:

Because I will be able to find you? The guy above says he lives in Shaanxi, now I know and can find him! The whole of Shaanxi...

Shiyan, Hubei; This will be my fourth year here in the same school.

TheGardener:

Do you like it up there? It must get pretty cold in the winter.

It's not that bad. I'm from Canada so I'm use to the cold. January and February are the coldest months but that's when I'm on vacation someplace warm.

You should check out Beihai, that is near you and a nice enough place for a few days.

A lot of you seem to live up North,  but I haven't had the chance to visit many places up there because of the weather...and lack of holidays.

Moving around a lot allows me to experience different parts of China long enough to see if the propaganda I hear is really true. China is a big country, and diverse like North America. This is why I move around. Why do I stay? I like teaching. I find it fun. But that's just me.

TheGardener:

That was my plan, but then I found the one place where I can stay long-term, and now I am invested here.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
