Q: Where to go travelling query?

Hi everyone

Has anyone ever been to Macau? I am thinking about a short trip a few days although I don't know much about the place any info would be great.

Lastly any advice on where to travel in south east Asia for Chinese New Year, I have probably left it too late with prices skyrocketing due to Chinese New Year but if anyone knows of any hidden gems worth visiting I would appreciate it.

Thank you

What is it you like to do?

Drinking and partying? beaches and the ocean? Jungle trekking? See some culture and history? All of the above?

My go to place is Thailand. There's something for everyone, don't need a visa and there are lots of flights going there.

My wife went to a restaurant 'table show' in Macau several years ago.  She said it entailed half a dozen women parading around in the nude during the meal before a fit strong man came along and serviced one of them on a table in the centre of the room.  Lots of people sitting quietly to watch while having their dinner.  Seems he finished with a flourish in a manner no one could miss or doubt.

Apparently the show is finished now.

In fact, I've got to admit that I'd like to see that for myself.

Maybe they have these kinds of things in Thailand, not sure.
