Q: Where have my answers gone

I have just been trying to find an answer  I posted on a previous question and although the link is there in my profile when I click on the link the answer is not there. Out of curiosity I tried some of my other answers, some are there some are not. Has anyone else had this happen to them and can anyone suggest why it happens.

to get a good answer it must come from the CAT himself, all others will be guesses.

But to give you my try, if a question gets deleted or closed out because either the question or one or more of the answers become controversial, your answer (while the guilty one, or not the guilty one) will not be available.  That will be my guess.

You were a bad dog. No. Bad dog. No Scooby snacks for you. Bad dog. No.

Maybe they didn't like the question or they didn't like your answer?

Ok guys, I liked Crimochina's answer. I will remember in future to post everything to you first. Tried looking up, nothing in sight, and Bill you're probably spot on, in fact my owner has just booked me into Chinese dog training school to try and get rid of all those nasty western ways. No nice Scooby snacks just unidentifable meat and a lot of bones. Yum!!
