Q: Where is your most strangely positioned electric socket?

I have one directly above my kitchen sink. The placement baffles me.

Any better than that?

Not in our place, but I have seen one straight under the shower head in the toiletshowerkitchenroom.

3 inches to the right of our shower head!

Paulberger:

you should aim your shower head away from it... i don't want to read your next post here saying, "what is the traditional chinese medicine cure for electrocution?"

it is a little above the head so it usually stays dry unless I start singing and dancing in the rain which would be the end of me and the neighbors who can see and hear me!

"a little bit above the head" famous last words from someone who didn't quite understand humidity and condensation.

I've tried living for a couple of weeks in a place where if you would shower too long, the buildup of steam would short something and blow the fuses. But not a real problem as the owner of that place was very quick to air out, replace fuses and say "now you can shower more"

I have one in the wall near the ceiling line. They created a false ceiling and only the two bottom holes of the socket are showing. Apart from the fact that this socket cannot be used the original placement is a puzzle as well because you would need a stepladder to plug anything in anyway!

ScotsAlan:

Maybe for a fan?

I have a few at the top of the wall too.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
