Q: Where's the best place to exhange RMB for USD?

Is it better to exchange RMB for USD in a Chinese bank, the airport, or in a bank in the United States? Which place has the best rate?

From what I know, if you're a foreigner, you cannot freely exchange your RMB into USD.

If you go to the bank, you'll need to prove you go out of China. The best is to ask a Chinese friend of yours to exchange the money for you....Bank exchange rates may vary, so call different banks to ask their rate or check their website for the information.

RMB currency can only be exchanged in China. No banks worldwide has the possibility to exchange your RMB in USD.

Go to Bank of China. It is easy, they charge basically nothing, and all you need is your passport. It takes about 10 minutes.
