Q: Which chain store sells mid-priced, quality jewelry?

Looking to buy some earrings, but don't want to blow too much moola either. Looking for something 500-1000 kuai range. What would you recommend as far as jewelry stores are concerned in the big cities?

You might wish to try the jewelry stores located, generally speaking, on the ground floors of the larger department stores that cater to the middle class - RT-Mart, Carrefour, etc., etc..  Otherwise, you might wish to consider asking a local to take you to the "street of the jewelers" that is located in nearly every Chinese city.  In Shanghai, it goes on forever and ever.  Just a thought, however, otherwise, why not find something you like on www.taobao.com and order it?
