Q: Which changes have you noticed since you've come here?
I know that "here" is a relative term, so basically say anything you've noticed which has changed where you are living in China since getting there. I'll start first:
Nanjing has gotten a lot more restaurants throughout the downtown area. The first time I came here 4 years ago, there were few selections of which most were very poor (IE, Chinese style western food at a place called Talking, or a place called Tacos that does Mexican food without the meat and cheese.)
Now there are new restaurants opening daily which do a decent job wth the cuisine. We're still way behind Shanghai but I already feel the current level of development in terms of food choices is completely tolerable! I still wish a Carls Jr. would move over here though.
More cars, more idiot drivers, same amount of parking spaces

More cars and a lot less taxis. Getting home after the buses stop running can be a major pain in the a$$ now.

Zhuhai happens to have the exact same numer of taxis, but has more people, and more taxi drivers who ask for "a tip" or will not drive
More stupid concrete everywhere, absurd number of cars on the roads and growing, more pollution.
Less hellooooos and catcalls behind my back, people seem to be maturing. A more international feel to a lot of cities here. A lot of spending on infrastructure- sidewalks, subway lines, fast trains etc ... all positive changes and signs of a country moving forward.
Pollution has got worse though.

Guangzhou has got a lot better since I first came here in 2005.
Back then you could not see more than 1km. Now I can see things far away 
Overall opinion of foreigners among Chinese nationals went from worship to disdain in the last 5 years, more xenophobia, more taxis avoiding foreigners, more people calling us bad names, more losers giving me and my girlfriend angry stares because she is Chinese.
More resentment at my workplace because I am the most successful employee among both kids and parents, more useless self-entitled TAs who can't hold kids' attention for 2 minutes yet think they can criticize my class and play offended when I just ignore them, more incompetent managers noticing us at the very last minute, more bribery from the boss because authorities are tightening the rules and he fears for his business (business that can't run without foreign teachers), bribery resulting in late salaries because of less money in the school's account, late salaries that will very soon result in me involving the SAFEA because I start to be fed up with all this crap that has been lasting for months.
In the city more smog, more cars, more empty malls, more ugly skyscrapers, more self-entitled morons, more violence, more aggressive behaviors, more protests from angry workers in the industrial outskirts, they happen on a daily basis now.

Sounds like it is turning to hell soon... although I agree with many of your views happening in most cities in China, your city seems to be a bit "extra" nutty.
I confirm the increase in cafés! However I still much prefer Starbucks because like most things, the beverages of those off brand shops taste wry watered down.
The increase in cars is a given but parking spaces do seen to lag behind.
I think that the idea of lining up for service has experienced a slight improvement as well, but that is more difficult to confirm.

In Suzhou, over 4 years:
* Air pollution get worse consistently every year. Last winter was shocking.
* More websites are blocked, non-Chinese access is more crippled
* More littering in my area, due to more people moving in
* More people trying to sell flats, demarching people in the street
* More shopping malls
* Slight to medium levels of decays of some areas, which were new when I arrived
* Women shorts get shorter. This summer, I saw shorts so short, you can see the lower part of the buttocks hanging out.

Chinese people seem to be getting fatter.

CCTVNews, I follow them INTENSELY on WeChat for their great coverage of what is important, recently had a story saying that China has curbed the obesity epidemic. Maybe it is true, but it was the single only source about this I could find.
(and can't find that story again now)
You need to exercise your women to keep them non-fat-legged

saw a few morbidly obese people lately so I dunno' how much I can agree with the curbing of the obesity epidemic. . . And Chinese people actually seem to have a smaller "range" for how much weight they can hold on their bodies , IE, smaller frames. They max their frames out a bit quicker (or a lot quicker in some cases) than Western folk do. Just being noticeably fat puts them in a pretty bad spot.
The Good:
- women are dressing sexier
- Chinese don't stare quite as much
- better transportation systems (fast trains, can buy tickets online)
- a lot of new spread of ideas and new restaurants
The Bad:
- more ghost towns or residential areas
- housing prices have significantly increased
- much more cars, leading to traffic jams and pollution
- people have become a lot more materialistic and self-centered
The Ugly:
- a lot more anti-foreign news
- a lot more censorship and crackdowns
- a lot more crazy attacks on students and people
- China's relationship with many nearby countries has gotten pretty bad but tourists are still semi-welcome... but if China pushes further I think it will need to close up again
As soon as I switched from US IHUB to eChina, I noticed my English writings aren't understandable to Native English teachers.
It never happened on US Stocks Market websites.
I'm not bitter, however I can't stand long 'moanings' about 'what's the color of the water'
subjects. Even with proper English text!
