Q: Which do you prefer, Shanghai or Beijing?

I know it's been discussed on countless occasions and I find the contempt that some of the locals of these two cities hold against other quite entertaining. I'm not one to comment as I've never been to Shanghai though what do people think on this matter?

I haven't been to either city so I have no opinion on the matter, however my wife's family have very few good things to say about Shanghai people saying too many of them are rude and arrogant.  Now, taking the average attitude of many Chinese people if they think Shanghai people are arrogant, I REALLY would  be wary of meeting them!
