I've lost the habit of driving everywhere instead I walk now. That's just because back home I have an automobile and here I don't. That is a good thing however. I get enough exercise! I also don't go to the gym here which I did back home and that's something that's not so good for me.

I spend my pay far more liberally now than before Smile

But, somehow, I've become lazier! That sort of amazes me!!!

Scandinavian:

I am with you Derek. 365 hours lost per year.

If we take a very square look at life, say you have 8 hours sleep, 8 hours work and 8 hours free time. Then spending one hour napping each day robs you of 1 and a half months of free time per year. Imagine how much cake you can eat in that time, how many inventions can be created, how much hand holding with your significant other, how much knowledge you can teach your children.

I fell into that habit too but had to stop after just a few weeks. That nap can make one day feel like two which can be hell if you have to go back to work afterwards. NOT Cool

I walk a lot more here, and am a bit more comfortable talking to women- since they stare at me anyway.

mArtiAn:

I'm not surprised they stare, look at the size of that head! You must have a hell of a time finding a place to buy hats.

I take taxis way more than I used to. The staring gets to me pretty bad, especially on the subway. I never knew what anxiety was until I came here lol.

I also spend more time online, watching shows, reading. I don't feel the need to explore the city anymore so I'm inside more often than not. On the plus side, I'm drawing more than ever.

Spitting out bones in the restaurant. I have also become attuned to leaving food debris on the surface of the table. I am now into the doggy bag thing with left over food. I am more uncouth and less respectful. I will now push people out of the way if they try the same with me.
