Q: Which iOS apps would you recommend to newbie who wants to learn Chinese Reading and Writing?

I have no problem speaking and understanding Chinese. However, I hardly understand a word when it comes to read and write. If time permits you, could you please recommend me few iOS apps which could assist my endeavor to learn Chinese Language.
Thanking you so much,

Jia You, Sam.

As a person similar to you (some would say Twonk),my speaking is ok but my reading and writing is woeful. To have gotten to your level you must know pinyin very well.

Check out the online HSK resources. My kiwi mate did this. He can read and write over 500 characters in only 6 months with a few hours per day study, but can hardly speak. I was impressed but he says he can barely read a menu and pick out a few words in a news story.

You wish to embark on a hard road. I couldn't do it but I am lazy.

Make full use of Pleco, HSK resources and and Skritter. They may help but there is some hard yakka ahead and I wish you the best in your efforts.

I'm trying to work through HSK now, starting at level  1-2. My spoken Chinese is okay but not great.

One app I found useful is Memrise. It's spaced repetition software and the basic app is free for IOS. Worth a look.

Friends have recommended Scritter but depends if you are willing to pay or not.
