Q: Which province in China gets the worst rep?
Whenever I speak to my Chinese friends they always seem to bash Henan.
Well, Xinjiang ren have a bad rep....
But, I'd say those central south provinces - Henan, Hubei, and Jiangxi... (probably cos they're some of the poorer provinces)
Henan people are regarded as the most cunning people in China, which seems to be a metaphor for the most outrageous liars and thieves. They seem hated by people all over China.
Which is interesting, as it is also supposedly the cradle of Chinese civilisation, and the beginnings of China's supposed 5,000 year history.
Everyone bashes Henan, but I've never been there. I've never encountered anything like Hunan province, though. I've been all over the country, and nothing compares to the horrific shitfest that is Hunan.
Yunnan, Fujian, Hubei, etc.? No problem! Hunan? I'm not joking here... there are days where I just pray to die. I mean literally pray to die. I hate Hunan so much, I wish it would just go away.

Xinjiang, Guizhou, Gansu, Ninxiang and basically every other province if you ask some random people lol. the best is only the only they are native of...
