I'm still discovering new Chinese dishes everyday, and really amazed by the diversity. For those who've sampled pretty much everything out there, which province do you feel has the tastiest, most diverse food?
For tasty, I vote for Sichuan. For diverse, I vote for Guangdong. Sichuan food is nice and spicy. In Guangdong, they have a rep for eating anything that moves, so you can't get much more diverse than that.
Chongqing Municipality. Hot pot.
Noodles taste good all over China.
Xinjiang cannot go past kebabs, da pan ji, roasted meat buns
To me Guiyang (Guizhou) food. It mostly depends on where you live most of your time and what you eat. In general, if you are heading to South China, food gets more spicy, and if you are heading to North, food gets less spicy with little bit sweet taste.
In the beginning I could not eat Sour Soup Fish hot-pot (special of Guizhou) but now I am asking my colleagues to go for it quite often.
xinjiang province food is best i've been there last year and the food is awesome and they have got to many famous dishes of china
i will add inner mongolian food to the list may not be the best. but i missed the mongloian mixed with chinese food
