Q: Which province/region do Chinese say has the ugliest girls?
They have this expression that a certain province has the prettiest girls. I forget which one it is.
They also have the opposite though. Which province or region do they believe has the most buck-toothed, shapeless monstrosities?
All provinces have an abundance of pretty girls. What may be ugly to you may not be to someone else, and the same goes for "they" who want to make lists for little more reason than to claim bragging rights.
For such a beautiful city, Xi'an doesn't have many goodlooking girls.
They say Sichuan girls are beautiful and in fairness they ain't far wrong.
I've heard same as Dharma - Maybe Xi-an has just enough mixing with Turkish sort of peoples? Which somehow doesn't always make a a good mix?
My wife insists Sichuan is known for beautiful women but some also say Southern women are not really as pretty overall as those northern girls (Heiliongjia, Jilin etc).
There does seem to be something to those over-generalizations but I suppose that is all subjective itself.
