I would keep away from them all. Just take the good bits that they they all pretty much have about caring and sharing and treating others like you would wish to be treated. Forget the other bised stuff and after all they are all big business in the end.

hippy:

islam is the most popular religion out there, and for good reason. people all around the world believe in it, and they have coverage from moroco, to indonesia, and back. theyre also the fastest growing religion in the west. many afro amerikans who are confused about their identity have turned towards islam. i find islams popularity to be fascinating. in china, it is on of the main foreign religions that have been very popular over the centuries. from cities like xi-an to kuning, there are muslims towns.

one of the things that legitimizes islam is western inperialism's hatred towards it. you have to ask yourself why the western inperialists have so much hatred towards it? then you start talking to some of these muslims and you start to realize they are actually the good guys, and its the western inperialists who are the bad guys, because as per usual, the western inperialism hates decent people.

i know that budism, and daoism has a following in china, but i find these religions to be failures. my reasoning for that is hong kong, and taiwan. budism, and daoism flourishes in hk/tw, yet the hongers, and taiwanese strike me as selfish, greedy, judgemental, confrontational, counterevolutionary, reactionary, and decadent. if you pay very close attention to chinese gangs, many of them have ties to budism, and daoism.

based on my interactions with muslims, they seem to be the most kind, civilized, benevolent, and least decadent of all the religious groups. even if you travel to the muslim neighborhoods of beijing, the muslims seem more civilized, and are obviously less decadent than the hans.

many shils will try to negate the accomplishments of islam. they will say that islam is popular because islamic countries have huge populations. i dont buy that argument though. india has a large population, people arent flocking to hinduism. china has a large population. foreigners are not flocking towards budism, and daoism. in fact, if you pay close attention, the % of budists, and daoists in hk/tw are in decline.

shils will claim muslims have more kids, or that they are born into it. using the same logic, hindus also have alot of kids, that doesnt make hinduism popular. christians are born into christianity, but many of them leave the religion. in fact, a much larger % of christians end up leaving christianity when compared to muslims.

which brings us to the question. there must be something that attracts people to islam.

many of todays so called muslims countries were not always muslim. alot of people
associate iran with islam, but they only became muslim relatively recently (in human history). turkey is
another one. but neither of them have historically been muslim.

you even have far away places like indonesia, and china who have
not historically been muslim. in fact, islam is one of china's biggest religions. however, if we compare islam to christianity, or judiasm, there are very few christians, or juz in china.
lord knows how badly christians try to push their religion onto people, going from door to door, yet still, they are unable to get very many new followers. in china, christianity has been very unsuccessful. many shils will try to blame that on the "comunist party", but christianity has been trying to push its way into china long before chairman mao was born. yet (in comparison to christianity) so many chinese flocked to islam on their own free will. there are muslim neighborhoods, towns, all over china. if im not mistaken, there are even muslim provinces. but you never hear of any christian neighborhoods, towns, or provinces. i can only conclude that christianity has nothing meaningful to really offer, and that is why chinese have no historically gravitated towards it. even in western colonies and pupets like hk, tw, singapore, only a small % of ethnic chinese have converted. therefore, one can conclude that islam (what started out as a foreign religoin) is much more popular than christianity, despite christian efforts to push their religion onto others.

many shils will claim that muslims forced their
religion on people. we can also say that christians forced their religion on people. millions were slaughtered throughout africa, asia, and the amerika's in the name of christianity, arguably more than those who died under islam, budism, daoism, and hinduism combined. let's just say the arabs did force turkey, and persia into islam. so why are turks, and persians still muslim now that no
one is forcing them? if someone forced me to become christian, i would cease
becoming a christian once someone stops forcing me, or takes the threat away.
certainly i would not continue being a a christian on my own free will. its been
hundreds and thousands of years since the muslims colonized iran, and  turkey, yet
islam never left despite the colonists leaving. so there must be something attractive about it for them
to continue this tradition. you look at unpopular religions like christianity.
you see many many europeans who were forced into christianity by their parents,
and once their parents stop forcing them, or the kids grow up, they leave
christianity, and do not go to church voluntarily. but you do not see this with
islam. the kids who were forced to go to mosque as children will continue going
to mosque as adults, for the most part. when you look at other unpopular
religions such as judiasm, most juz end up becoming athiests, as they are
unable to retain their followers.
not only that, but you see alot of westerners converting to islam. the fastest growing religion is islam. you hardly hear about any muslims converting to christianity.

study them all then go with your heart , no one can answer that for you, or you can try them out for a while but understand the difference between religion and church churches usually are all about money and control

I think you should stick to Eastern religions as I feel most religions are reflective of a persons culture and area...

If you're too much of a tool to decide on your own you can't go wrong with Scientology.

Take some lessons on the history of religions, then you can have some idea about their principles.

You don't choose a religion like you go to the supermarket to choose a beverage.... You must find yourself some deep commitment to follow one religion in particular versus another one.

I am Christian-born person, but I have lot of interest in buddhist traditions and none in the Islam.

Each religion pretends to have the key of the unknown mystery of man and the universe, and most of them have killed (in the past), kill (nowadays) and will kill to assert their belief.

If you want my opinion, rather than getting yourself into a religion, live yourself according to some human principles : being kind with another, respecting each other, etc.... It's harder than being part of a religion, but you will find that each religion started with a man who had some convictions.

Go for a religion that stimulates you to do good, always remember, you pray on this life for things do good on the next

If you think tha Jesus or whatever you pray for, will give you money, so you have a wrong concept about miracles...

So, the best one is the ones that don't ask you for money...
