It will basically depend in who you work for.  The holiday period will satrt on Saturday, Jan 21.  For some working at stores, and private held business, will be 5 days or back to work after Jan 25.  For others will be one week, Jqn 28.  Some government agencies will take about 16 days, or back to work after Lantern Festival (15 days after New Year). and yet others like some schools will take 30 days off.

In my own case .... from December 31, 2011 until Feburary 21, 2012.  All paid.
