Q: Which Western search portal do you use?

I can't open USA Yahoo since yesterday on my Broadband. It behaves same as GOOG, Reuters, some USA newspapers... Access to Yahoo Mail is undisturbed.

I wonder, did 'wall' came down or is it just technical glitch at Yahoo or it's my Internet provider.

I can't open any Yahoo link posted here since yesterday.

I have access to UK newspapers, US Stock market's IHub and ZeroHedge.

I don't know, which Western portal is still available in China as search engine.

It may have something to do with a conspiracy based in an obscure city in the Netherlands. It may be that someone tried to "fix" something this side of the wall and it had unexpected consequences. Anyone's guess is good.

A few friends around town have also mentioned that their vpn is a bit hinky over the past few days.

I look at it as an opportunity to enjoy news from different sources than I would normally check. It is part of the rich tapestry of life that China allows us to enjoy wink

icnif77:

It looks like block, but funny only Yahoo news and search. Mail is open.

OK, but Yahoo was the only Western portal accessible in China.

I'll change my narrative: 'both Western portals (GOOG und Yahoo) are behind the wall in China.
