Q: Which would you prefer: to be married to a Chinese man, or be single and poor?

And lets say the Chinese man has good job. A civil servant

I have to go with Single an poor as I prefer no backdoor action.

But had you asked "Which would you prefer: to be married to a Chinese woman, or be single and poor?", then I'd probably go with married. And being a civil servant isn't that bad in China (in some cases you can even live decently without hongbao)

What on earth is this question about?! Why would marrying a Chinese man be a bad decision just because of the nationality?

Depends- would he give me a reach-around?

But really if you are getting married to improve your financial situation it's time to take a long hard look in the mirror...

Think, maybe...what he's trying to say that being married to a Chinese guy is not necessarily a good thing??

That may explain why you see so many Chinese women with foreign men ( & often NOT to get money or a green card) & rarely see a foreign woman with a Chinese guy.

Why is that??

mostly because of manners and often foreign girls are bigger and thus they are not attracted to most of the chinese men

A:What is 'formal offer letter'? Only legally accepted employment offer I know is a Contract! ... so, you just don't accept and sign the contract with the lower salary! Email exchanges, verbal discussions and other promises between you and employer aren't legally binding, so legal action isn't recommended. Mainly legal effective thingy is employer's stamped and signed contract! ... and after you ink it, employer can/will use your signed contract to apply for all necessary documents at Chinese governmental agencies as Working permit and all ... It would be better for you to not accept employment with such an employer, IMO 'cause you'll experience similar troubles by employer not respecting the contract later on. -- icnif77
