Q: Who have been the worst teachers you've met here? Or best?

I find it more enjoyable to look at the really bad teachers than the really good ones, but feel free to talk of either.

First taught in 2002 I think, and I was awful. Smoked in class, turned up hung-over, I should have been fired instead of promoted to the position of professor (that's how they'd introduce me as I looked over my shoulder for whoever the Hell they were talking about) after only a week on the job. Since then i've rounded off into an ok teacher but along the way i've met some who made that first miserable attempt of mine look quite sublime. There was the kiwi guy who hung an 11 year old boy out of a 30 story window till the kid wet himself. I actually really liked him. There was the British pedophile of course who'd let 10 year old girls wrap their legs around his waist or who'd walk behind them down the halls with his hands on their chest. I did not like him. Plus the angry yank who I once heard scream at a 7 year old that he would pull the boy's eyes out of his head. Sure, the kid didn't understand a word but from the irate howling in his face he probably got the gist. There have been far more good teachers than bad though, they're just not as much fun to write about. So what's been your experience of the teachers you've met? Good or bad?

Mine was the fat Australian who used to work at Nantong Dynamic, who specialises in getting female students drunk, and having sex with them while they're asleep. Keeps his place in China by giving information about foreigners to the PSB (not always accurate information). Possibly the most hated guy I have ever met in China, but tolerated in fear of being his next target to the PSB. Gets beaten up by Chinese people quite often while drunk. I left the company after a few weeks, because I refused to be associated with him in any way.

Worked with a Canadian guy in his 30's named Martin. He was the original yellow wolf. If he wasn't sexually harassing students he was sexually harassing female staff. He'd come into work totally smashed sometimes and then blow up on anyone who brought it up. He got booted out after the boss found out he'd been stashing porn on his work computer. Some of it was kiddie stuff too. These people exist out there by the thousands yo.

Actually your story reminds me of a DOS I had at one school. He was a Chinese guy and whenever he did his open house presentation,in which anyone was welcome to come into the school and hear all the great reasons why they should study there, he'd use his laptop and an overhead projector, and it always amazed me that he never thought to rename one of the files clearly visible on his desktop to anything other other than what it already said: 'Mandy and Sally, Sex Games." The school managed to stay open for about two years.

Saw one guy nearly 7 feet tall. Kinda chubby, and absolutely ridiculous looking. He couldn't even manage to give a full smile because he was so shy. He worked at a kindergarten, and left after the kids beat the tar out of him for being so bad at teaching them English.
