I wouldn't be surprised. Gamers abound on the interwebz. Heck, even I used to spend many hours playing computer games. Maybe they wanted to add a little fun to the points system.

i got a great idea for the next GTA (grand theft auto) instead of shooting pigeons shoot cats in ties

I also got an idea for a game: give partial admin privileges to all members - whoever deletes the most posts from Criminochina in a 10 minute time frame instantly gets free VPN, a bottle of red wine and redeemable coupons for chicken-flavored Whiskas 'Temptations' croquettes. My favorite.
