I wouldn't be surprised. Gamers abound on the interwebz. Heck, even I used to spend many hours playing computer games. Maybe they wanted to add a little fun to the points system.
Nice! Maybe next we can duel it out when people are tied for "best answer" or if someone doesn't reply for a post they take damage over time.

I also got an idea for a game: give partial admin privileges to all members - whoever deletes the most posts from Criminochina in a 10 minute time frame instantly gets free VPN, a bottle of red wine and redeemable coupons for chicken-flavored Whiskas 'Temptations' croquettes. My favorite.

Personally, I prefer Sir Tom Tom's jams & jellies made from reconstituted catfish whiskers. (Extra trivia points to the person who knows where that quote comes from.)
