Q: Who is more popular in China Jet Li or Jackie Chan?

If they both had a crowd reaction who would receive the most love? It seems that they have a lot in common in that they both produced action movies. The only distinct fact is that Jet Li had more serious roles and Jackie Chan is sort of a comedian/stuntman.

Most Chinese people who are into it seem to like Jet Li more. They take him more seriously as an actor.

jet Li plays it safe and uses story to help promote a sense of patriotism. He is the role model for all Chinese citizens, and his fighting skills are unmatched.  He is seen as civilized and well-mannered, caring for those in need of medicine as well. Wong Fei Hong is humble, but is able to stand up for what is right for his country. Even though the character didn’t bring anything new to the table, Jet’s version of Wong Fei Hong is one that will remain deeply rooted in the memories of anyone who has seen the films.

I've found that most Chinese people I know hate Jet Li because he traded his Chinese citizenship for Singaporan so he's a "traiter".

Jet Li was Champion in Wu Shu around China. I later start to do action movies an leader actor. Opossite Jackie Chan when finish your contrat whit Pekin Opera start to do a Stunt, now body now hem in Fist of Fury and Enther the Dragon, right? So, I think Jet Li is more considered an Martial Arts Actor than Jackie Chan in China. But, Jackie is one of the best Stuntman and great Fight Choreographer. I remenber Jet Li try luck in USA, but the movie is not really good. Jackie broke all in Rumble in the Bronx around the world...

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
