Mighty Njord,

You've been quite vocal in your comments and complaints, and I wanted to let you know I hear ya.

In response to us being selective, let me first say there are currently two mods here and both are foreigners (Canadian and American), so really, we feel the sting of comments pointed at foreigners the same as you. Now, it is true there is a post about westerners being perverts, which, while tendentious and grammatically poor, stems from a very common stereotype in China. We were hesitant about keeping it, but received no abuse reports from users, who on the contrary swarmed to answer and deride the poster.

At the same time, if you look through the extensive list of questions here, you will find the following:

'Why are Chinese men weak?"
"Why cant Chinese come up with an original idea?"
"Chinese men cheap, have weird vision of being romantic?"
"Are Chinese men faithful?"
"Can Chinese boyfriends be expected to be kinky?"

Some are silly, some are jokes, but imagine for a moment you were Chinese - would you say we favored you over foreigners? (On an unrelated side note, looking at those questions again, Chinese guys don't exactly have a good rep here). I found these in 5 minutes looking through questions, and you can probably find a lot more China-targeted jibing in other posts.

We hate to delete stuff because it pisses you off and it's work for us, but comments such as the one posted by toad above simply will not be tolerated. We try to be impartial, but it's also possible that we may miss something, so if you see something that's inappropriate, help us by reporting it.

Hope that clears stuff up a bit,

I don't mean just physically. Also morally, spiritually, creatively and ecumenically.

But yes, more than once I've been victim of seeing from behind a scorching hot Chinese chick with short hair, only to pass 'her' and see it's a man. Puzzled

The age of the "sissy men" has begun, lets here it for the gals.I do love China not being politically correct at times. metrosexual left term, girlie man RINO term from Arnold, they both just don't make the point like "sissy men". maybe the chinese can have a new word for the "unyimmer".

Isn't it seen as a good/hip thing for men to be almost excessively emotional?

Guys here are pretty much slaves to the numerous whims of their girlfriends. Also, if music is anything to go by, how many non-emo male musicians do you hear out there not singing about 'wo ai ni', 'pengyous' or the like...

Chinese guys make me gag.

OMG i just realized that I've been getting in touch with only a few Chinese men, so I don't really have deep insight about them!

But, from those few guys, I've got a very strong impression that they share pretty much similarity with guys back home (another asian country). My personal simple observation says Asian men tend to be dominant in non-domestic decisions, and women are with domestic issues.

But now I'm thinking..is this question has something to do with what many foreigners here says as 'chinese rage'?..have no idea.. Cool

It's really paradoxical that Chinese men are really weak and lack manliness here, despite being very direct. I read here on answers.echinacities.com that people here are moar straightforward than in 'Merica and told that to Baylee-Ann - she's like a sister to me, would always give me pecks on the torso - and she believed it was true. We visited Tienanmen yesterday, and she went to guy and told him "You're hawt, let's go make out naow". The guy blushed, panicked and couldn't reply anything. He literally froze.

Baylee-Ann tried to do the same to different Chinese men, with the same result everytime. One even started to cry like a 10 year old girl. She came back to me really mad because I was the one to told her Chinese men are very straightforward. She game me a hook to my flank and said I didn't know about China. Of course she is wrong, but she stands alcohol moar than my Chinese girlfriend, so I had to falcon punch her. We had a good laugh!

Perhaps I can help. I'm actually doing a study on the secret society of the cross dressing Chinese man in present time. This dates back 6000 years.
In China, by Ming and Qing times, clothing indicated not only differences in class and gender, but also ethnicity, as the two major ethnic groups. The earliest clothing was made from unsewn lengths of fabric. A toga style. Not until the middle ages was there any real fashion and it was quite flambouyant. So you see there is a deep heritage in wearing of flowing clothes. Carry that on until today and you have a complete closet society of cross dressers. Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

@ Ludovico ,,, do you really know Ady? ever met Omnom ?

Agreed with Njord. I can only speak for Vietnamese guys, but they are definitely not as described here. Here they have to maintain this semi-badass domineering attitude, which isn't amazing either, but sure as hell beats the testicle-less description of Chinese guys you describe here.

adminanswer you don't think some of what's said about westerners is "racist" or are you selective about which race you'll defend?

If someone can post Westerners r perverts, then someone else can post Chinese men r weak(as long as he didn't say Chinese r weak, not include women.) ^^

Wasn't it Deng Xiaoping who said "It doesn't matter if a cat is sports/casual, or business/smart, as long as he harmonizes racist posts, he's a good cat"

I'm sorry it's okay to leave racist posts up if they stem from a stereotype? I just joined up to point out how stupid that is.

hi,how do u know chinese men are so weak? compared with what and with whom?
chinese men are not weak at all--but only in your eyes they are weak, because you cannot see things overall. here are just some small examples:
WHY FOREIGNERS ARE IN CHINA?
i guess MOST of them are doing business here, but why u do business here in china and with chinese? if chinese men are weak ,then means you choose weak competitor or your business partener, so that means YOU ARE ALSO WEAK ( because if you are strong, you will not be here, dealing with the "weak chinese men").
second, maybe you would think sth about relationship, or even in bed...YOU think they are weak. there is no doubt that there are already many beautiful chinese girls have foreigner bfs or husbands, MAYBE you think chinese men are not as good as foreigners in bed, BUT ,THERE ARE STILL SOME PART OF RICH FOREIGN WOMEN marry with chinese guys, why ? because chinese men are not weak, and you never know how they act in bed, right? the opposite, chinese men are strong, because they establish factories in their home, and attract foreigners coming to china to import from them, and they can earn a lot from the SO CALLED STRONG FOREIGNERS.
... ... only some small examples as all the ppl can observe by their eyes. i believe all the foreigners in here and in china have their own opinion. but i just say what i see and what is the fact. tks

Yes emilychen, but:

"i just say what i see and what is the fact"

Be careful not to blur the boundaries between opinion and fact.

That is the fatal error that Chinese historical textbooxs, and the state media, have made.
