Q: Why are Chinese so obsessed with the word "Neiga"?
Isn't it somehow offensive?
Yes, especially if you have brown skin!

"Neiga" as nigga??
or "Neiga" (Pin Yin) as some kind of a chinese gap filler like "umm..errr...well..."??
It's like "shen me" or "tue ba" : common words for every day conversation, on the phone for instance.
learn the lingo and you will find a lot more t be offended by than Neiga 
Hahaha..I figured that out after about a week that it was used as an interjection. At first I thought: "These m*therf**kers trying to be funny and slide it by me" haha..and now honestly I say it all the time not realizing. It's so scary to me how I speak and think in Chinese and consciously don't know that i'm doing it until after it happens. China is messing with my head..i'll never be the same again... :(
