Q: Why are people so obsessed with iphones and ipads in China?

Apple is seen as a luxury item that will give them magical status in the eyes of other Chinese people.
Firstly to give themselves face. They just want to be seen with luxury items.
Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, most of them cannot drag themselves of QQ for more than a minute!

Somewhere in this world we have a saying for such show off...........
thats great...once this friggin iPhone 5 comes out, all other brands' prices should drop...at least thats what my gf says...so I can't wait 
pretty simple what else is their to do what else can u spend money on like americans we buy cars chinese buy i phones and i pads
because i think they made it as a benchmark of standard of living in China or in economic terms living index..
people pretend they are apple's fans so make them different with others even part of these "fans" don't know how to use their apple equipments.
Apple are popular every where. At home Apple products are worth more than others for resale. I wish I had bought an iPad instead of my Thinkpad. The Thinkpad is heavy duty, but heavy.
