Q: Why is 'beauty' so important in China?
shuai ge or meinv - they say this all the time. Even in the news, they remind you if a person is beautiful or not. Why do they talk about it so much?
Cause everything here is shallow and about appearence.
Its all about face. Appearance is the number one priority. Anything els dosnt matter
I have seen it used with attractive and non attractive people a lot. I take it like "mijo" and "mija" back home in Puerto Rico. It is a term of endearment very loosely like "hi buddy" or "hey pal" in English even though we may be strangers.
not strange, do you like see hot girl or big girl, handsome ordinary man. we live in a material society, the better appearance take our more attentions.
by the way, if you hot as your icon , i think there would have a lot of man post here.
Beauty is important all over the world, but keeping thin and white seems to be more important than being covered in makeup, perfume and fake tan here.
