7 years 19 weeks ago in Visa & Legalities - Nanchang
@cooldod9066. Have you checked the requirements? They don't issue many.
Minimum is 5 years of marriage, earnings/income tax requirements, stable living place, etc.
They've issued just over 7000 since 2004!!!

Just found out by walking in money & tax proof wasn't on the list for marriage applying folks. Just a house, kid and 5 years of marriage.
Hotwater:
That's me fucked then! Had the snip years ago so can't have anymore kids!
Bodes well for some people though.
Hotwater:
Those kids that won't be born won't know what they're missing!
Actually I'm thinking of the married guys we know with kids.

if you can't work on a spouse visa, then showing taxes paid and income would be a self incriminating exercise, but you still need to show 200,000 rmb for a deposit while processing your application which could take 6 months to get a "no". Also if your husband gets run over and killed by a car, your green card is not permanent and your now a non green card holder and if you spend less than 270 days in China by the entry and exit stamps on your passport in any given year, you are a non green card holder. Welcome to China, I mean hell, I mean it's the same thing.
Do you know what the basic qualifying requirements are? Start there and you might have your answer...

well i am married to a chinese man. he is from nanchang. i a a UK Citizen. so why can i not get one?????
Admin, give it the fuck up already. You're driving away the few regulars that are still here
Stiggs:
The thing with admin accounts is, when a genuine new poster joins up he / she will probably get treated like a faker and told to phuck off.
cooldod9066:
actually i have been here longer than you. i like it here unlike u

Cooldod9066. Can't the people in charge of green cards tell you why they won't give you one?
They'd be more likely to know than a group of random people online who don't know thing one about you. It's not like your question gives anyone much info.
cooldod9066:
ok here u go i tried to get a green card in shanghai but the told me that because i am married to chinese man i should go to his province n get one which i did. but they said they have never heard of a green card before n they have never gave a green card to people before.
Stiggs:
That really sounds like somebody at the office you went to didn't know how to do his job, or was too lazy to bother and just wanted to get rid of you.
Okay so you're past the first step...married more than 5 years.
Do you have a high paying job/pay a high level of income tax?
Do you own an apartment?
They really don't like giving out 10-year "permanent" resident cards so you've got to be something special to qualify.
cooldod9066:
ok so no i dont work or own a house but i stay with his family
If you can't work on a green card, Why get one? They also cost allot of money! It would be cheaper to get a Q visa.
