Q: Why Chinese people don't like bowling?

Yesterday I held our get-together meeting with everybody at work! It was a great success! I really like surprised, so I'd figure I'd change the date so all my minions can have double fun : going out, as a surprise! By the look of their face, I can say they were genuinely surprised, oh I was happy! Made me giggle. Too bad my Chinese employees don't like to show their emotions. No one thanked me, but I know deep down they were super excited!

We went to KTV, as Ludovico suggested. Everyone was a bit shy at the beginning, being our first bonding event and all that. We had food there, it was delicious, but few were talking. I had to take things into my own hand and ordered a lot of baiju and beer, because I want Chinese people to know all the efforts I went to to organize the event and to suit their taste.

We started toasting, drank a lot! I taught the Chinese intern the pelvic thrust, without the tip of the hat finishing move, because I learned that you have to teach one step at a time. She was reluctant at first, she would say she wasn't sure she'd do it well, so after another toast I asked her to try it on the table so everybody could judge. Pedro, the Mexican IT guy and I laughed really really hard, because her thrust was too timid! Then I asked everybody to stand on a table and show a dance move. They all went with a small hands-in-the-air woohoo, like I taught them last wacky tuesday, it was a blast!

Even the unproductive secretary danced a little, after I asked her to drink moar! Afterward, I tried to teach them a choreography so we could sing and dance, but one of the employee said it was loud, and that he would go. So of course I didn't want him to be left alone, so I told everyone we would be going to play bowling. There were still some undrank beer bottles so I took them up so we could finish them while hitting the Alley. I think my employees were really happy. They giggled a little bit during the walk, so I showed them how to laugh and started to laugh really loudly. I asked them to do the same. Oh they were so shy. So I handed them moar beer and told them to drink. They can't say no to me because I'm such a caring boss, they would feel bad! We have such a good relation, the bonding event was a blast!

But the bowling event was so-so... they didn't get much into it, so after a couple of hours and moar drinking, I gave everyone enough to pay a taxi fare.

Back on my way home, I wondered why bowling was not as good as KTV. Is it because they're less good at it so they are embarrassed to lose a game?

Halp anyone?

I knoo why the employee not like bowling. It because you have too much fun. You forgot to say let go of the ball when it go down alley.I knoo you laugh cause this good fun for all to watch, But that is not real bowling. I think after you fool evryone once, better to play staright bowling, then evryone laugh at joke on them moar easy.Plus there was no enoff beers befor playing slide down the alley. That moar fun with moar beer too. Cool Cool

I think it's because they prefer games like ping pong where the ball is as light as a feather and not heavy as a _____. But you know don't think they didn't enjoy it just because it was so so. Plus there are better things to do than throwing a ball down an alley trying to hit pins. Just saying! Try taking them to the library or a museum next time it might be more exciting!
