Q: Why chinese stare at foreigners?
Have u had any experience,like travelling in the bus or in the subway and having a chinese staring at you ,staring continuosly until u or the person gets down!!
Yes, every day, everywhere I go, someone is staring at me. Chinese are extremely curious, and if you do not believe me, open a newspaper or magazine and yoy will se more stares. And if it si an electronic translator, grab it with the 10 fingers, or it will be torn off your hand to be able to read what you are writing.
So, because of this elkevated degree of curiosity, and the fact that you are different, and probably never seen one like you before, they will stare at you all they can. There is no harm in looking, so just ignore then totally. Or, as a friend of mine does, he stares back.
Yes, I am stared at every day by many people, mostly guys though. The only people who don't stare at me much are my students...they prefer sleeping. 
Because the education system (and media) likes to stereotype us as foreign devils. And the movies (western) love make us look like superstars.
They look at us with bewilderment. Is he/she evil...or is he/she awesome.....they will never know unless they talk to us.
Give them the evil eye next time and see what happens. Without humor life is boring.
I really think it's because they are so unaware of how they look while they are staring at us. Self awareness is extremely lacking here, and sadly, I may add, they don't care either.
Simple-minded rubes for the most part. Notice how much less staring occurs where the populace has a higher degree of sophistication- eg. Shanghai, Hong Kong.
Since many Chinese dont get to see the outside world seeing a foreigner is the closet thing they get to seeing one. Does it annoy the hell out of me being in a big city and people still stare absolutely, find it rude, little to respect to your fellow people, and feels like you are an animal to them. Having people stare at you when you eat, having a group of Chinese people watch you take a piss give me a break I am like you I piss, eat, breathe like you.
By far the worst is on a summer day wear a shirt and have people touch the hair on your arms.
