Q: why is the counter broken?

I notice sometimes the counter doesn't work. I don't usually look at it. I just answered a question, counter gave me nothing,, typical ,, I cancelled my answer and lost 2 points, so I put my answer back got no points, so I took my answer off again , lost 2 more points.WYF ?

I have gotten the you maxed out after ten comment even if I only answer 8 that day.

no didn't max.out.. I find counter screws up alot, . I find I lose points, they just disappear. I lost 28 points one day.
