Q: Why did you choose your current avatar and user name
Story behind mine is two fold. Tomcatflyer relates back to a boyhood dream of flying fast jets. The alien head sort of reflected my mood one day when I heard the cry of the Chinese youth, "laowai"!!.I thought if they see me as foreign I might as well be really foreign, and it just tickled my sense of humour imagining an alien flying an F14. What are your stories?
I like a bit of anonymity so what better way than choosing a photo that shows a bit of a face covered by a baseball cap!
My user-name has a long-standing meaning to me. Old friends will know why.
My username is my original English name in Chinese and the one that the local government assigned me when I registered a company in China. I chose my avatar because I just love the facial expression of the hippo in the picture. As soon as I saw it, I christened the photo "skeptical hippo".
I collected all of the Ironman Marvel comics, all the way from Tales of Suspense to Ironman 2000, the 510 was my high school locker number#.
I used my photo! I really am a cow. I also lived in Guilin for a few years and i hate milk and love beer.
Do you know how HARD it is to type with hooves? At least they are cloven...
My original profile was that I was an eskimo and my profile pic was me as a 3 yr old child in a fur trimmed snow suit outside in a playpen. I used to post things to try and confuse ESL readers, like putting my girl friend in suitcases, if I wrote that it has to be true.
TedDBayer is a childhood name that stuck and I still get ''Bear'' or Teddybear''. When I was younger and asked about it I said my name is Ted, last name Bayer. My male cat is MGCH Kerakterkatz TedDBayer CNW. I used his pic for awhile, then one of Ace Ventura.
I've had fast cars and bikes all my life and I'm a maniac on wheels. When I got my scooter in China, one day it just hit me, no more Mr Niceguy, you want to play, I'll play.
So the Road Warrior guy just seemed to be appropriate and screaming while pulling an arrow out of his leg, fitting. I really do kick scooters that almost run into me and thats nothing. At home once a car driver almost killed me on my bike, after I got control of the bike, I ended up kicking the shit out of the 400 lb guy driving the car while driving down the highway on my bike. The Road Warrior maniac is copied after me.
It's a picture of my house. My house let's me travel to strange planets and meet weird people. I've been doing that for centuries, but nothing prepared me for China...
This picture... Well, I found an exit sign that fell off of the wall in high school, and took it home. Then I thought "why not use this kind of sign as a Steam profile pic", and then everything else.
"Spoon" was basically one of the first English words I learnt, if not the very first.
It was going to be "Mr Spoon" at first, but spaces were not allowed in names on the first forum on which I ever registered, so I put a _ instead. Thank god for thatntoo, I just can't imagine an alternate reality where I'm called "Mr Spoon".
I've been using this nickname since I was around 10 years old.

'Cause it's my real name, plus a letter (and the two big A's are no accident), aside from which I came out of Uranus. As for the picture, it's a Banksy bastardization of an old painting, and Banksy is the man. The custard pie's because i'm hungry.

Some 1 or 2 years ago, I was about opening new account in a online game , called Tribal Wars. I was looking around the room, and spotted a box of strawberry milk powder from Nestle, which my son really like to drink. Named Nesquik, I took the upgrade of a name and that's it.Also you can call it the Loch Ness creature, which is very Quick, hahaa.
When I register here, I tough it will be ok to keep same nick as I was already tired to think about new one 
Because I am from Scandinavia and the current avatar is a mix of Scandinavian flags.
Because Buffy was everything I wanted to be when I was older, and I have every video of the series (yeah I'm a geek, deal with it 
). Name is a combination of my nickname in school and uni, favorite numbers and initial of my real name.
Because I chose not to choose life- instead I chose China.
Also Welsh is the man, gritty and realistic writing at its best.
I'm a lazy person. I added an 8 because I like the number, it reminds me of the symbol for infinity, I was also born in '88.
