Chinese love to show off wealth, but usually do so in modesty way. Man wears big oversize watch, but dress very conservatively.
Why no bling? big gold chains and grills. Where is Mr T with Chinese characteristics? It makes sense. "I pity the fool for his unharmonious ways".

there's this chinese guy in my city that swears he is "gangsta" and has a dance crew... he has gold teeth.. but i'm not sure its to show off, high fly, or if he just has really bad teeth and got gold caps to prevent them from rotting any further...
I think there are lots of people who put LEDs all over their scooters/cars/trucks. I count this as bling. I do count it as low end bling because there are few cars with really nice rims, I've never seen a set of spinners in China.
I have a golden rabbit on my table. I am not sure why, but it counts as bling in China.
I see many people decorate their phones. You've seen those phone covers with Mickey Mouse ears? I saw a woman the other day with a Samsung Note with Mickey Mouse ears, they were almost fist sized, pretty noticeable.

You make the good points, but we all now that only gold is bling. That's why it is called bling.
Sparkle jewels is likely more a cute thing, as do not involve the gold
Because you need taste, either good or bad, to consider what you wear as a coherent set, not the sole need to exhibit wealth.
I know a few guys that wear gold chains. They look ridiculous.
Just look around at all the women and the bling they show off: glitter and fake diamonds on their clothes, shoes and even in their hair. LOL
Bling can be dangerous, i've heard of people getting their arms chopped off because they wouldn't give up their 'handbag' to a bag snatcher. I personally saw a girl being dragged down the road by a guy on the back of a bike who was clutching her purse. Much easier to let go of a handbag than a load of rings, bracelets and necklaces.
They do have bling, just their version of it. Gold chains are common, but men who want to flaunt their wealth go for purses first, the gaudier the "better". Clothing also counts, whether the elf shoes, or silk shirts.
