I'm confused to see people wearing thick pajamas in the supermarket across from our college. To me pajamas are worn when sleeping or at home when you don't expect anyone. In Hefei you can see pajamas are worn everywhere on every day basis.
I see this at home. I saw a woman in pajamas at Walmart. Why can't women at home comb their hair?
I saw that too in a supermarket, now that you mention it, but i refused to believe it. It is common in some Countries in South East Asia like the Philippines, Cambodia and now I understand in China too.
Don't confuse it with those uber-fashion clothes that some extremely cool young people wear. Those that have the texture of a pyjama and make you look like a complete 'tard, especially in bars. But they're so cool, right guys?
(Yes, those exist. Pyjama-style clothes. In night clubs and bars. Yes, I did facepalm)
If it's not those totally X-trem pants, then yeah they're probably pyjamas. It's common in China.
Hell, I even learnt that from living in a hutong. If I have to go to the grocery store or buy cigs, I'll just throw on a jacket on that sexy sleepwear, and BAM! Ready to leave in seconds! Save time! Look stupid! Blame cultural diversity!
I have no idea, in England the drummer of the Boomtown Rats was notoriously crayyyzayyy for doing just that back in the 80s. Glad they do though because i've just nipped down the shops for a beer in my dressing gown and nobody batted an eyelid.
Face.
They are showing you that they have enough money that they don't need to bother putting on clothes, they can wear whatever they want because they have no restraints or obligations.
Think Hugh Hefner in his pajamas all the time.
Yeah it is because they just don't care what other people think and if enough of them do it then it's sort of 'accepted practice.' There's a woman in the apartment below who NEVER gets out of her pyjamas! She just dons a pair of high heel shoes, grabs her shopping bag, dabs on a bit of make-up, combs her hair and she's off. I went for a walk around the park in my boxers and not a single person looked at them, but of course, being a foreigner they certainly looked at me! Weird but cool.
it is common in China. You can see many Chinese wear pajamas at many places.
They have the 50 Cent Party.
Why not have the Pajama Party?
I have just seen a cop directing traffic wearing his full uniform and a pair of fluffy red house slippers with a bear's face on the front of them. What a sight!
