Q: Why do Chinese post here and pretend to be foreigners?
Chinese post and talk about LA gangs, and what ever back home. Are they all kids or getting their jollies thinking their engrish is so gooda tat they fool us.? And they never seem to give up, even when you point out their mistakes, but they don't ague that they're not Chinese, because they are.
We can't make that a sure thing..........No one knows who is who..........So i don't think too much about this......I enjoy the forum enough to not care who is Chinese and whose not........As the preacher in the church always say "Aren't we all the children of God?!!!!".
I don't know of any Chinese poster claiming to be foreigners or non Chinese if that is what you mean. I know of several Chinese posters who openly admit the same but none, (that I can recall) who openly claim to be British / American / Canadian / Australian etc.
well they do so to ask a silly question to see what we would say, because chinese people still think foreigners are 1 nation therefore have 1 opinion representing 1 nation lol just kidin who know

There are 2 different kinds of wu mao's.
Those that praise and defend China while pretending to be a foreigner thus making all foreigners appear as China lovers.
And those that pretend to be a foreigner and play up the stereotypes beyond rational belief and try to make all foreigners look bad by their posts and comments. Like racist and bigoted baited comments.

There are two types of foreigners, those who criticise everything about China and thereby make all of the foreigners appear to be China haters.

Dude, I realize my mistake and apologize for my somewhat hostile reaction. Have amended a minor attack on another page in fact. Something about a tool. Wasn't actually aware we were all talking about anyone in particular so I saw my name, remembered past accusations i'd received, and it got my back up. Have since looked at some of the posts by tonguekissalion and can see where the accusations are coming from. From experience I know better than to assume I really know who is behind these avatar names, so i'll go on responding to words rather than the people I imagine are behind them.
PS: If you've heard all the 9/11 theories before, what about the facts? For example the testimony of Norman Mineta to the 9/11 Commission? Or the discovery of explosive residue in remains of the WTC complex, that NIST continually refuse to confirm the existence of with an official test? The collapse of the buildings themselves which occured at free-fall speeds through the point of most resistance, in complete defiance of the laws of physics outside of a demolition scenario, or the collapse of WTC7 that was never even mentioned by the 9/11 Commission? In fact I could continue with a list as long as my arm of reasons to re-open the 'investigation that was never truly allowed to take place'. Suggesting that anyone who questions the authenticity of the events of 9/11 is crazy is itself utterly absurd, there is nothing 'but' reason to re-open those investigations. I do not know the answer, but resistance to offering one, at least to the questions above, only makes me stronger in my resolve that it was a fake. WW2 was started on a fake, we know this now, it is a fact. It is only solid logic to do anything to avoid such a mistake again.

This question seems hoping to provoke problems. I am Chinese and I never said I was British or American. I came to this website four days ago. An American friend asked me to sign up here, so I did. I was thinking maybe I know some answers to some questions here and help people when I could. Not only Chinese post with bad English. I see others doing it too.

The above repost is a classic example of people who always assume that most people agree with them and that their individual belief is that of the majority. It is a commonly held delusion and a form of mental disorder. Your use of the 'we' and your admission that in your opinion your insight is "most people that post here", just points this out.
Often the way a bigots mind works is by forcing itself to believe that in reality its opinion is that of the downtrodden majority and it is only because all those (insert race / religion or other hated group) gang together on here that everyone doesn't agree with me.
Thankfully most of us don't assume we are the majority opinion, we go on with our lives and comment on what we see as we see fit, even if that means posting a minority opinion.

This is now my view and opinion - As far as I'm concerned anybody has a right to a voice on here no matter who they are or who or what they pretend to be. Sokie stay on the site we need more Chinese like you here. I always thought this to be a site about Chinese related things, not a site strictly for non-Chinese to vent whatever about China. It would be a very dull site if we just relied on the China haters. Anyway, people pretending to be who they are not is not just a Chinese thing, they are plenty of people back in our old countries who do this as well. Maybe they think if they declare themselves as Chinese they will get flamed by all the Chinese haters. We should welcome everyone to this site, even the real idiots, at least it gives the rest of us a laugh.

I'm interested, who exactly claims to be a westerner that you think is actually Chinese? I mean, I used to get these accusations and it kind of bothered me for a bit as i'm very honest, particularly about myself, and don't like being called a liar. Then I realized I was being a fool to expect people to do anything other than project their own fears and paranoid musings upon me or anyone else, because that is what we do. I do know one thing though, I have never met a single person in China who spoke English that was not fairly easy to spot as their second language. That's no insult to the Chinese, it's just a statement of fact. Unless you have been immersed in a language and spoken no other for years upon years upon years, there will always be tell-tale signs - and i'm not talking about the kind that a paranoid and deluded mind (Crimo / Thedude) invent, i'm talking about errors in grammar / improper use of colloquialisms / idiomatic speech / slang / sayings, etc, and more importantly the endless cultural references that enter the speech of nationals from any given country are all very very telling indeed. I'm not aware of anyone trying to weave their way through that minefield of giveaways but if they are able to convince me then they have my respect. I do know one thing above all and that is that in England, a site like this, that so many foreigners came on and often made openly racist remarks about their host country, would have the British National Party all over it, and they wouldn't be pretending to be anything other than British, and they wouldn't be nice and sweet and understanding, they would be very, very aggressive indeed. I am amazed that in the time I have been visiting this site I have not read a single post or comment from a Chinese national saying "You f*******g cheeky c**ts, if you don't f********g like it here, then f**k off!!! Hehe, so i've sometimes had to do it for them. You can take the boy out of London, but you can't take London out the boy.

Let us not forget, that a lot of Westerners or even people from the USA, or the UK, or Australia, etc. CAN be immigrants, who left their original countries and became citizens or at the very least residents of said country. So, someone might say that he or she is from (insert adopted Country here) and have a "not so perfect" command of English. Are they lying? Not really no. Should they be "forced" to say that they were originally from X country before moving or becoming citizens of Y country? Only if they feel it is relevant.

Hey Ted... I think anyone can post their opinions here yes? Whether they are Chinese, American, or Hungarians makes no difference to me, but if they are known to be impersonating another nationality it would make me question their motives.
