Q: Why do Chinese women not understand western men?
I see a lot of the popular answers are from Chinese women asking about western men. Things such as "how long before I should sleep with western bf", "cultural expectations of foreign bf" and "older western man with younger Chinese girl". Do Chinese women really not understand western men at all, do they not talk or what?

the answer is unfortunately "no" but it depends, those who lived abroad for a while understand better... but still i believe most asian people are still traditional in heart, you need to know that china is not very well exposed to western cultures... chinese women have social expectation to adhere to... in other words, they are not as free as those women from the west.... also what i noticed is that most women who met a foreigner tend not to share their experience with their other female friends, afraid of losing face...
the cross cultural barrier is really hard, metaphorically speaking, its tall and long like the "Great Wall"
Sorry to break it to you guys (the "western guys") but the rest of us ("western" women) don't understand you either...we just choose to occupy ourselves with other things (our careers, politics, having a life in general)

Nobody understands anyone. This is nothing new nor cultural.
No man fully understand any woman, the same as no woman fully understands any man. Cross cultural relationships are not much different....just different issues.
As Doc Brown in Back to the Future II said "I am going to give up time travel to study the other great mystery of the universe....women."
Western women don't understand western men. And vice versa. Why would it be different in any other culture?
There are also lots of questions posted by western men about chinese women. It works both ways.
I beg to differ that western women don't understand what men want. I think i understand perfectly what western men want. They want a girl who likes sex and is willing to have it. She can cook and be funny and all his friends like her and she is independent. Your basic good girl in the kitchen and bad girl in the bedroom and she doesn't hang off him all the time. in fact it sounds pretty similar to what Chinese men want.... My boyfriend is chinese
