Q: Why do Government workers in China get special treatment?

I have noticed while living in China, that the government workers get police escorts, get treated better, and when you book a hotel and later if the local government wants that hotel they will cancel your reservation. Chinese government workers get treated like Gods.

Because China is a communist country and who says "communist" says the overmighty power of the governement. You go to any communist or former communist country, it might be the same.
