Q: Why do Government workers in China get special treatment?
I have noticed while living in China, that the government workers get police escorts, get treated better, and when you book a hotel and later if the local government wants that hotel they will cancel your reservation. Chinese government workers get treated like Gods.
Because China is a communist country and who says "communist" says the overmighty power of the governement. You go to any communist or former communist country, it might be the same.
Corruption.
Power is still more important than money here in China.
All government officials everywhere have special privileges but China takes it to the extremes.

It happens in any country. It's just more obvious here. And if you belong to the Party you get special privileges.
