Q: Why do i always feel that the girls talking to me in the bar seems to be working girls?
I have this bad feeling that very often when i meet a girl in a club in China that she is paid to be in the bar. i can kind of feel it on her lack of enthusiasm and the way she looks. please some one with more experience in China, am i right in having this feeling or is it my fantasy at work here?

You go to the wrong bars my dear! Maybe you should go to less sleazy bars for a change! Or don't waste your time talking to Chinese girls and pay more attention to the foxy foreign lassies instead! Hahaha!
You are not dreaming and what you are feeling is quite normal.
Let's just say that the locals, no matter how modern or advanced their technology is, it is sad to say but in the social standing they are very young and naive (especially the not so educated ones). They think they know all but they don't.
So, Chinese girls tend to look blank or act like as to what they think they should act especially around foreigners.
If you want to meet Chinese girls with personality -- definitely do not look in a bar.
Yes, you're looking in the wrong places. A lesson learnt by the foreign masses. You could be completely overlooking that cute shy girl who serves you your dumplings every day.
