Q: Why do people from 'developed' countries lose their 'morals' when they come to China?

Is it becausee they think the lifestyle in China is more enjoyable than foreign 'developed' countries?

An urge to fit in is probably one of the big things. I've seen foreigners act like c*nts for no other reason than they see local c*nts acting that way and think it's okay.

Anyway, morals are a relative concept. But if you believe you can simply swap one set for another then you're going to get into difficulties. Just look at the reaction you get as a foreigner if you cough full into a Chinese person's face.

I think a number of westerners who come here feel like they're out of reach of the watchful eye of 'civilization' and can now let their hair down and rip it up a little. I don't respect such types as it seems to me they were too scared of the criticism of their peers back home to be themselves, and are too disrespectful of the Chinese to realize that poor behaviour is no less justifiable here than it is anywhere else.

maybe because deep inside we all are (or at least were) animals...

Yes, that is why we have Laws. If human nature were kind and good, we would not need laws.

like i said before face comes first in china, so a rich man would give a homeless guy some money not because he wants to do something good but because he wants to gain face.

there was 2 pictures i saw online 1) obama talking and  shaking hands with a member of public.

2) the second was the same thing except the people where chinese, but in the second picture the leader was talking to a farmer and was standing 1 meter away

but as i recall people on the site where laughing at obama well in my opinion obama gained face

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
