Q: Why do so many Chinese girls cover their mouth with their hand when they laugh

because in ancient China ，笑不露齿(don't bare your teeth when laughing) was a basic requirement for a girl . They feel prudish in that way .
In past times, it was impolite for a female to show her teeth. Also, a long time ago
the hygiene was not so great and often people had bad teeth. For a female it was
not good to show a mouth with bad or missing teeth.
Japanese women do the same thing, cover up their mouth when laughing.
It's because they were eating their lunch and they didn't want any of the food to come out of their mouth. Just a way to get as much out of lunch as they possibly can that's all!
They do it to hide the fact that their all CIA operatives, talking on little microphones hidden in their sleeves.
