Q: Why do so many Chinese website have pornographic images
As a country where porn and "vulgar" content is "illegal", there sure are a lot of indecent & suggestive images of semi-nude women both in picture galleries and in pop-up message format. I would go so far as to say there is more vulgar content on national news websites here than many well-known western ones like the Guardian, NY Times or BBC.

yes indeed and as my students love to tell me, japanese porn is not blocked, just everybody else.

our young people are all grown up and educated with Japanese porno stuffs, and we are going to nurture our porn industry by learning from Japanese too, so why block? I suggest you that the best porno searching engine is Baidu since our government has backed, Google, does not work properly if for porno search.
Japanese porn suck, because all 'obscene' parts are covered (made invisible). American porn is not blocked in China, either: Y! search: 'pornhub'....or ....'nuvid'. However, I am not really sure, where does it come from. Could be EU?

There is so much pornography now because it is so easy to get the Chinese to appear nude. You just tell them you want somebody to model some special magic clothes that appear invisible to anyone that is a dumbass or has no common sense. Then give them a bag with nothing in it and ask them to go and get changed in the dressing room. Five minutes later, you will see them proud as punch wearing their new invisible clothes ready for the photo shoot.

What's vulgar about the naked body?
Pornography is another matter and if you are accidentally coming across couples copulating or in acts of fellatio you have my sympathy, however, I suspect some of you are being overly sensitive to nudity.
P.S. I would be totally against child nudity, but not because I view the body as vulgar but because of the possible actions of a sick minority of the human race.
it's because, we, chinese people are so much caring about family life, and our benevolent government is encouraging us to do so, to win the competition with our rival Japanese by both higher quality and overwhelming quantity in porn industry. better porn, for better life,
