Q: Why do some Chinese tourist places insist on having those electric golf carts to get around in.
They really spoil the beauty of the wonderful places that you go to visit. It is really tacky and it would be much better to let people walk. Of course you may need a few for the old or dissabled but I would think removing them would enhance the experience. On a visit to Pingyan they were just out of control chargeing at breakneck speed around the old streets. I was hustled on to one by my tour guide and as we hurtled around I glimpsed many intersting things but had no chance to stop and absorb the ambiance of the place or even take photos.

I know they can break up the natural beauty but they can also be fun.
I've used one in Pingyang and had a great time, but maybe I got a nice driver. But I do agree that there are way too many of these electric golf carts in Pingyang. But hey that is what happens in China when the tourist comes...every local and their mother tries to make a buck...and it is not just foreign tourist that they try to hustle...they also do it to Chinese tourists.
China is the place like a heaven. This is the most wonderful place to travel and there are many beautiful places to visit. Some of the people miss to see all these place. China is the full package of travel places and many things to do in china during travel.
