Have you ever noticed those gang of guys that are lined up in a row right outside of the Apple store trying to sell apple products? This I find is very weird especially since they do it right in front of the real employees' of the Apple store and the security as well. I'm surprised nobody there has tried to tell them to leave and that it's bad for business.
i think they hang around there for the free wifi from the apple store

Dang that sucks! I'd expect them to at least stay inside where it'd be warm!

I guess considering that most of the so-called' Apple Stores' are not Apples Stores at all. As you may know Apple only have 11 appointed outlets here in China, no more. All the others are freelancing. So my guess is they really don't care who does what outside, However try to take a photo of these fake stores and the chances are you'll find the gang around you. Telling you in no uncertain terms to FO.

I bought G4 in 1999 as my 1st Mac. It was build and assembled in USA, I think as the last Mac build in USA. G4 was 'ferrari' comparable to today's MacBook Pro. 'add-it' I also had first iPod (2003), which was the size of a pack of Marlboro, but it worked forever.
As soon as production moved to China, Mac (machines) sucks. Last year, I was in HK Mac, exchanging faulty IPod bought few months earlier in Dalian.
Sales person commented: 'Chinese Apple products are not good. HK's are much better.
BS, all Mac products are build in China.
A month ago, I bought G-Tech 1TB External Hard Drive with Thunderbolt in HK. It lasted two days. I exchange it, and as soon as I returned to China, it broke down again. Now, I must make another trip to HK for exchange with another brand.
It is not Apple, but Apple is selling it as their main external HDrive.
That could never happened in Jobs time! Ever! He'd rather close down the 'shop'. R.I.P.
Where are you 99Silva?

Maybe they lock him (and forget him) in fake Apple store. This thread is billion years old.
They are selling stolen and unlocked and second hand iPhones and other Apple products. I don't know if I would trust them though, would you guys?
some are for super slow free wifi; some are selling the rip-offs and also recycling the second-handed iphones I think.

ok, that's it. Next time I will be on Nanjing road, I will sit down front of istore and connect to free wifi. because I can not handle the 30RMB for 500Mb of data each month...
Sleeping all night in a kfc or macdonalds, sitting anywhere without paying for service, this is a chinese "thang", not a western concept. hope the cemetary was comfortable for sleeping, next time book a room when your supposed to.
