Q: Why does Mattaya wishes soooo badly to have the Emperor's Crown ?
Does that means so much for him ?. Is it a question of "face", or what ?. Is he seeking a job with EChinacities?. 80 % of his questions each day bears no relationship to China or to life in China, yet he post them and gets away with them. Who cares if there is an outlaw loose on China (as long as it is not my next door neighbor), or many others of his boring and meaningless questions ?. Is it me only, or others out there share my opinion?.
And he is sure on a quest, since he pays no attention to the many hints I have seen here.
Well, as a suggestion, Mr Cat, do grant him the title of Emperor, so we can elevate the intelectual rating of questions and the discussion here, please.
I think he's still trying to convince us he's American. Lot's of the locals like to tell their friends they speak better English than native speakers, and he's got that characteristic Chinese tenacity.

Im local, I can tell clearly she is Chinese. I had suggested her to relveal her ID, not born in Amercian citizen (second generation of Chinese immigrates) is nothing to hide at all. She refused to do so, I respect that.

Localla actually made a very good point here a few weeks back that I think many people missed. mattaya is no wu mao but an employee of this site. Nobody ignores all the points made about him (or her) without avoiding the truth. Many people here have been banned for far less.
If you can tell a lie long enough maybe the masses will believe it....very Chinese if you ask me...but I digress.
Hey I want to be Emporer. The E. had 3000 wives. Mattaya wouldn't know what to do with them. That'd be a waste. I can see it now, a mountain of babes, pile on.
Also I announced I wanted the position, before I realized I could just get it by answering questions here.
Maybe there is a way that you can all send me points so I can become Emporer. I promise my first decree will envolve beheadings of anyone using a name starting with M or L ! I'll add to the list later.

I normally do not enter into arguments, but this time I will make an exception. I have told him many times, I even offered him my points if he stopped asking stupid questions, or giving meaningless answers. But he continues. I have no problem with good questions, I have no problem with good answers. During all my time here, I have asked a total of 6 questions. And I have answered every one I knew the answer for, whether I got points (under 10 answers per day) or not. Made no difference to me. None of the rewards interest me, so I don't pay attention to points or titles, I just have fun answering questions that are intellectually a challenge to me. But you are right, who gives a f^^k ?. I certainly do not, and from now on will not.

Thank you Happy...you summed up my opinion precisely....although you answer real questions here 10 times better than I do. I think Mr. Cat is right...we feed the monster by making comments, and we deflate it when we ignore it....I am more guilty than you up until now. Let this be my new year's resolution.

Don't let it get to you, Happy. If you knew how much junk I delete on a daily basis, you'd be horrified. I strive to eliminate the dregs of people's posts, some of whom contribute more of those (careful: understatement) than others. Sometimes, however, I miss some. Thanks, i do not envy you. For almost 10 years I owned and ran a website to answer questions about China. But I got so much "crap" from a few, that I closed it a couple of years ago. I still miss it, but will not reopen, so I do know the type of shoes you must wear, and also what you put up with each day. And very good advise, do. I will keep it near my heart at all times.
