Because that's what you are, anon, you are the cancer of this forum and even your wife can see that.

Got your salary from last week BTW?

Hulk:

That was really uncalled for, dude. Don't have a dumpling.

This guy is obviously posting anonymously because he doesn't want anyone to know what his wife is calling him.

Don't know... seems to fit the anon troll pattern a little too well to me. Can't help but feel a legit poster would have posted some minimal backstory.

Why not ask her why she calls you that? Communication is an integral part of marriage; it won't work without it.

My wife calls me a "dirty foreigner," "bastard," "motherfucker," etc., but she says it to my face. We just joke around like that all the time. Is your wife joking?

ScotsAlan:

You taught her well Hulk wink. Dare I say, you have liberated her exceedingly well.

I don't think I taught her, lol. We always joked like that from the beginning.

I call her a zhong guizi, chink, motherfucker, etc. We both think it's funny... neither of us are malicious about it.

Sounds like my missus. It's usually in jest but I've learnt to spot the subtle signs that she might actually be getting angry. If her ears start bleeding and she reaches for a kitchen knife I tend to give her five minutes.

My wife calls me"hey". I call her "psst".

It's just pet names. Madame Mao called her husband Chairman. How weird is that ?

Adolf called his dad "Uncle". Even wierder.

Don't worry about it, your wife's pet name for you does not qualify you as a potential "despot".

I will add: many Chinese refer to their own children/nieces/nephews as, "Little devil," etc. It can be used affectionately. Not that I agree with it - my wife and I usually try to leave the "devil" out of our slurs/insults to each other.

What does she actually say? Bai Ermo? Mogui? or an affectionate Gweilo as my wife's mother calls me?

It's normal. My girlfriend often affectionately calls me "Puk Gaai" (Cantonese for prick) and I reply in kind by calling her a "Pendejo" (Spanish for fool). It's somewhat effective, if we're in a crowded place and I need to find her.. if I yell out her English name, it's unlikely she will hear me. However, when I say "Hey! Pendejo! Where are you?!" she hears me. The same for her. Though I also teach her a lot of good German profanity.

Well calling a boyfriend or husband devil in Chinese does not necessarilly present a negative thing. Just contrary. It can be more 'the play word'.
But I assume that this cannot be your only problem when you cannot get your explanation from your partner or if your partner rejects to stop calling you so despite of the fact it irritates you.
Are you seriously asking such a question on the Internet forum?

A:It happened to me, once ... in 2014 or 15 ... Plane from RP city (Tianjin) had a delay and I came to the exit (Luohu) some 7 hours after the RP expiration day.I had an excuse, but still I was put in a side office for some 3h and then cops had a short talk with '.. and make sure, it will never happened again! ..' and I was let go without anything on my record. At least, at new Z visa reentry nobody ever mentioned anything about delayed exit. However, I had a bad feeling at following Z visa application ...It's wiser to exit at least a day ahead of the RP expiration day. -- icnif77
