Q: Why doesn't the 'answer' button appear for some questions?

I've noticed that sometimes when someone asks a question, the answer box does not appear. Sometimes I totally know the answer and yet.... there is no answer button so I can't answer it.

Also, will there be any kind of archiving sometime soon? I think if this is going to be a real answers site you can't just leave all the questions in a big list and only use recent popularity to sort them. You need to add more detail to the category system and combine similar questions.

The only person that could give you a correct answer will be the CAT with the black tie, whenever he quits chasing whatever he fancies during his evening patrols......

Now, in the mean time we could use our brain cells a bit (give them some exercise) and assume a few possible answers.  But be warned, when you ASSUME, you only make an "ASS" of "U" and "ME".

To me sometimes there is a valid question, that do not deserves to be deleted.  But some of the answers could be out of line, or they do change the subject asked, and the question gets "frozen", no more answers allowed, and the "Answer Button" disappears.  Is my assumption correct, Mr CAT ?

Also, sometimes, I click on a question, and a new page opens with a warning telling me I am not authorized to view that page.  In my mind, I do assume that question was deleted.  Is that correct, Mr CAT ?

And in regards to the "archive" suggestion you make, while I do think it is basically a sound idea for key type repetitive questions, I also know that people are basically lazy, and it is easier and faster for many just to ask the question and have others do the searching and typing of answers for them.  In other words, while having merit, will probably be seldom used.  My opinion, anyway, up to Mr CAT with a black tie to decide.  wink

probably can make FAQ section.. where repetitive questions can be posted with the most correct answer... but its job for someone to sit down and do that.. dont know if it will be worth... there is always 'search'option

If you can't answer a question, it's because The Cat stopped anyone from answering it. Inappropriate questions get deleted, but some are just treated that way. For example, if it's a question about the forum, or something silly, but not against site rules. However, you can still leave comments on the answers there.

I lock them.

We've had a love-sex-betrayal question infestation of late. I don't mind those questions, as long as they actually contain a modicum of discussion/logic/reason. Once that's gone, I lock it and let those emotionally attached to the question carry on in comments.

And yes, Tapwater, I agree there needs to be an ordering. As I've stated in the past, the entire eChinacities site is currently undergoing a complete revamp. When we get around to the Q&A, that problem will be addressed.

A:Your potential employer is right! Purpose of the Medical exam before granting Z visa is to make sure, you won't be entering China in any abnormal and harmful to others condition.Few days after your arrival to China, you'll be required to complete another ME ... If ME in China will be OK, you'll get a Residence permit stamp into your book some 10-days afterwards. Imagine, you're an employer, who can sponsor my entry and work in China, but after my arrival to China would be found I carry some sickness, which would prevent Chinese .gov to issue a Residence permit. Rule is: Z visa should be converted into Residence permit in 30-days after entry to China.    So, my advice is:"Complete ME in your home country and forward medical results to your employer".Z visa grant will follow shortly afterwards. Employer is not wrong at their demand for the pre-arrival ME from your home country hospital.   -- icnif77
