Many don't even know their uncle's names some didn't know their parents' names?
Many don't really know their parents' jobs or what they do at work.
This came up during a class
It is because in China, over sharing is something you only do when you have the chance to do some unsolicited sharing of the wonders of drinking warm water.
It is an interesting cultural trait. Everyone is on a "need to know basis, and they are told they don't need to know"
Because the chinese have been working around the one child policy for generations...
they dont represent all chinese.
many hv also prepard their family tree's datin' back few generations wth names n history of all!
It's because of dialect and no use of real name in daily life. They use nicknames by the way. Another reason is about Education, elder people like 20s' 30s' 40s' didn't attend school, especially those live in rural locations. They don't know how to read in that case.
