It is becoming increasingly eye-catching to be turned down by a foreign trader if he finds out that you are an expat in "that Chinese company". What difference does it make? Aren't we on the same boat? If it sinks, we sink together. I think there should not be a fear of whatever kind but instead a welcome-abroad attitude to work side-by-side equally with our Chinese pairs. You won't get cheaper prices with a Chinese salesman than an expat salesman. Instead, maybe you are better off with the expat when troubles come . I mean, Welcome each one no matter who he/she is.
Anyone has a point to share here? I would appreciate it.

I notice the same than you did. Are we arrogant? Afraid of each other? We like to be the only girl with that dress at the prom? Who knows...
It is quite amazing, isn't it? While Chinese themselves changent their names to foreign names to impress customers, foreigners in turn don't do business with their pairs in China. Something somewhere rings the odd.
I for this idea too. If there is anything to do let's talk about it. Great idea. Maybe that would be the time to also show off with man more skills than only teaching and so do something in the op's way.
Good idea,i considered that seriously as well last year, maybe i can help you to get an even cheaper price as i am more familiar with this place than most of you.By the way,i hope you can really put it into practise.
