Q: Why is espresso coffee so expensive in Beijing?

With all these new coffee bars opening in and around Beijing, someone gets confused which ones are good which ones are bad..........

I noticed many coffee/bar owners, use coffee beans from the market a very cheap quality coffee and sell them at high price in their bars....... is it normal??

why is it that the price of the coffee is so high in Beijing?? plus being so poor in taste....

I am sure Chinese people dont have the same taste as us. Coffee is not a popular drink such as tea and they accept coffee should taste like it tasted in China. Coffee is a high social thing for some here.... maybe like Caviar...lol.....
