Copied from a news site.
"A woman who intended to keep her virginity until her wedding night "lost" it at a premarital check-up, Guangzhou Daily reported on Sunday.
Wang, a 22-year-old woman in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, holds traditional beliefs and declined to have sex before marriage, as virginity is considered a symbol of purity in traditional Chinese culture. Her boyfriend also agreed with her.
After the pair decided to get married, they went through a premarital check-up, after which Wang found herself bleeding. It turned out that her hymen was broken by the doctor's equipment.
Wang was so mad that she called the police. With mediation, the doctor was willing to compensate her and further negotiation is underway."
How many lies do you notice in the whole story? And why is compensation the core subject of such stories?
Would receiving compensation after being penetrated count as prostitution?
'Why everything comes.........' , 'cause you're Non-naive English, and-ddd......I'm on the grammatical roll these days.
I don't know about hymen...... they probably set him (MD) up for some compensation.
It would be interesting to know, did guy left her because of no intact hymen.

I'll put you all in order here. Don't worry! I can't take that misspellings and things anymore.
Maybe I can earn honorary 'eChina Englo' diploma too.
Wang ain't into wang ? It ain't nothin' but a thang, wang~
Because in China, god is money.
Almost every Chinese person is looking for the easy out... they don't want to work hard or earn a living. So any chance they get... to be "compensated" they will take it. I have never seen Chinese be so creative/innovative except when they come up with ideas to con, cheat or put on a show for compensation.
Can a girl's hyman not go quite easily? i think i remember somebody saying hers went when she was riding a horse. Bit unfair on the doctor unless he used some kind of dildo.
This is a bad period in her life... she wants compensated.
Stories like this keeps the real problems at bay. E.g. the lies about air pollution.
I think it's the combinations of two things
* A preference for "rule of the man" over "rule of the law". Some might say it's just a lack of exposure to "rule of the law", knowing only "rule of the man".
* The idea of insuring stuff is still alien : paying in advance for something that might or might not happen. People prefer to pay only if things happens ie. a compensation.
So the result is people doing justice themselves, they don't care much about insurance, going for the "compensation" approach.
hmmm... now I think about it, it's probably the nature thing... for example, In my country people tend to resort to physical violence more easily, because they know it's not easy to get money out of someone... so if not money, how else people will get even?
also I agree with Robk - the easy way out and get rich without working hard...
