Q: Why have some of my comments been removed from answers?

I posted an answer to a question, someone commented, then I replied to the comment, and then those comments were removed. Why??

What thread was that? Did you say something controversial or that could be read the wrong way?

hi2u:

It was the global warming thread. Didn't post anything controversial at all.

'cause Admin wanted to say 'hi-2-you' ...

It might not be your comment in Q, but either original post you commented to or another comment to the same post.

Your comment might be removed by mistake of the holy Admin.

Hit 'Contact Me'  on the bottom, L side of this screen and confront the Mastard directly!

They usually send an info (to moi) that 'one of your posts was deleted 'cause .....' through PM, so if you weren't informed on improprieties, it might be harmonized by mistake.

Does your mom also monitor the Board? I mean, why do you worry so much-o?

I am getting that on Edge.

Nobody is deleting anything. Its a bug. No doubt caused because ECC uses American students on M visas to intern as IT managers.

Blame Trump. No.. Blame Obama.

Firefox works best for ECC. And always cut and copy before hitting the post button. If the post fails, just paste and try again.

ScotsAlan:

For clarification. There are 2 user mods on here that I know of. I am one of them. The last post I deleted ( apart from my own... yehhhh abuse of power) was about 6 weeks ago. I deleted a post. It was a bad post. But now we are on each others wechat so we can send smiles over what we ate for lunch. Nothing is being deleted. It bugs.

In the old days, nothing could be deleted or unpublished without George agreeing. Hit count was what mattered. Hit count ment advert views. But reddit has changed that.

George cant compete with reddit

So he has sort of left us to it.

Wait... something has been deleted. Not by me or the other mod.

To be honest, it should have been deleted and I let it go.

I’ve basically given up on my mod role as it’s not worth the crap accusations from users like Englesteachted...

but I’ll admit to deleting two replies from Icnif on this topic for his purposeful use of the word Count (delete the ”o”). He has purposely pushed it so I purposely harmonized them!

itherwise I’ve withdrawn my free labour. Any editing/deleting now is Admin as far as I’m concerned

I am Non-native, so sometimes reading posts in Englo ....

I hope, I  wasn't insulting anyone.

All we need here is 'blaming/admitting-game'.

Yeah I talked about Fritzel and I got harmonised. Admin is being a bit of a unicorn if you ask me.

Englishteachted has a unique personality/personality disorder that adds to the colour of this forum.

There is no rhyme nor reason to the deletion of posts at this site.  The so-called "rules" against profanity, racism, specific topics, and whatever else are inconsistently applied.  If you make a suggestion to improve the website your post will disappear soon.  Then a few days later The Cat will post something about improving the website, perhaps using the same suggestion you proferred days before.  Go figure.  The administrator and moderators are not earning much respect for their authority.

A:You can still skin into China as a non-English native teacher by holding English Teaching license in your home country.2nd: Your BA degree should be completed in a native English country. Once, you fulfilled these 'parameters', you qualify for an English teaching job in China as a non-native English sneaker with Z - Entry/working visa with Working and Residence permit later on. See the last 'Answers Highlight' ---> there is a web link posted about 'requirements for teaching English language in China as a non-English native passport holder'. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china#paragraph-item-63614-target

*English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). I'd say, Chinese will choose and look especially for a native English speaker at teaching of English Literature job openings. Posted job adverts for English Literature teaching are most likely from International Schools in China. Good luck! -- icnif77
