He hasn't been making as many movies as Jackie and he tends to keep a more low-key profile. Jet Li has been focusing most of his time on effort on his charity the one foundation so I guess that doesn't leave much time for being a paparazzi-loving star.

I've seen films he made here in China and they are not just kung-fu films. This guy is an actor. Chinese people only like what they are told to like and they are incapable of appreciating anything else.

As far as they are concerned there can only be one star or it wouldn't make sense.

Take Yao Ming for example. If tomorrow another Chinese guy became a basketball star he would be unappreciated because they already have Yao Ming and there can only be one.
