Good example of Western logic Vs. Chinese logic coming back from lunch: A driver was trying to squeeze his car between two parked vehicles and getting stuck in the process. I walked up to the scene, saw the way was blocked, did an about turn and found another way round. I kid you not, not a single Chinese person thought to do the same -- they all stood by doing nothing but making the congestion worse.
Lateral thinking people!!!
I've had situations like that. For instance, one time I was at English corner, and a person had brought their laptop and was playing music. It was time to begin, and the music was very loud, but we couldn't stop it from playing. So while there were some students just standing there not knowing what to do, I pulled the speaker cord out from the computer, and it stopped the music. A few minutes later the owner came back and probably had no idea what happened.
Beware the day when the Chinese will start to think laterally !
Ha ha....I am merry just thinking about how will things turn out.
The Western mind will then not hold any literal advantage at all.
Now they think straight, they must learn to think laterally, and will
come a day when they will also think not only horizontally but also
vertically.

they've had 5000 years to figure things out. what makes you think they will change anytime soon?
